Well, I haven’t given an update on my life in a while. So while everything is finally starting to settle down for me I’m able to sit today and reflect on this season of my life. It’s been a busy wedding season being pregnant and I’m finally almost done officially in 10 days but hopefully Carson, will be born sooner (tomorrow would be nice). I’m all packed and have most business stuff wrapped up to take a little break when my baby is born! I have finished nesting and all of my projects are completed. We are blessed with everything we need and more for baby Carson. So, here’s a fun little peek of Carson’s nursery and his bathroom (yup he’s THAT cool that he gets his own 😉 ) .
**I painted everything in his room myself, the stripes on the wall (which was hard with such textured walls and is NOT perfect). I painted the giraffe canvas. We found the changing table at a yard sale this summer and my dad refinished it! The glider we got at a yard sale too! It was originally yellow and white, I had Jared spray paint it black and I reupholstered the cushions myself.
The curtains were $10 bucks at Walmart . The bedding I got from javisdavis.com . Rug and hanging lamp I got from Ikea.com !
The mirrors, clock, orange lamp, and green trunk were from Target, I love Target. I got the zoo letters from whatisblk.com, The giraffe I painted…. I saw a print of it online and instead of buying it I just painted it myself. My friend Michelle painted this for me! I LOVE it, it goes just perfectly in Carson’s little zoo! I love looking at all his stylish clothes! This boy is going to be the coolest newborn on the block!
I am so proud of myself on the glider, it’s REALLY comfy too! Lots of wild and crazy patterns here !
We can’t wait for bath time!I made the orange yarn letter C and the little poms on the towels 🙂
And…. I’m hoping this doesn’t seem vain. But, I finally have photos of myself. I was TERRIFIED of cheesy maternity photos (I’ve seen SO many terrible ones HATE HATE HATE heart hands on the tummy, GAG) so my good friend Steve Stanton and I devised a plan of action to achieve some UN Corney photos! He did SUCH an amazing job! I’m happy to have something to remember this time, and how life is with the belly because soon it will be gone!
