This week we traded in our car (thanks to the tornado) for a lawn mowing tractor and celebrated our wonderful first 2 years of marriage.
“As God’s fellow workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain. For He says “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation. 2 Corinthians 6:1-2 .
The Story
{I left church Sunday with some girlfriends for some wedding dress shopping (for Michelle). Out of the blue a tornado stirs up a mile from my house. I got a call from my husband saying not to worry and that he was just in a car accident but that he was okay. My heart stop for a second I swear. I was so thankful that it was him calling me and that the words “I’m okay, I’m not hurt” were spoken to me first and from my husband himself. I quickly rushed over to the accident – 5 tornados touched down in Colorado that day. The accident was a result of someone running a stop sign trying to get out of golf ball sized hail/tornado. Jared t-boned him and his car was totaled. Jared walked away with only a swollen nose from the airbags and a sore neck while the other driver was rushed away in an ambulance (but is okay! thankfully).}
A day later we celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary. Through it all God reminded me, yet again of His grace on my life. My husband has been one of the biggest blessings in my life. Knowing that it is all God’s grace that I have such an amazing husband and such a blessed life truly makes me fall that much more in love with the Lord and so much more thankful for all of the blessings He has given me. I know that I didn’t do anything special to deserve it, none of us have. Thats the beauty of it.
Tonight watching my husband mowing the lawn on our new tractor with the glorious sunset behind Him made me my heart overflow with Joy, thanking the Lord for protecting him this week and keeping him safe for me :).
Joy!
